BajaBoard S2 is a unique electric “skateboard” based on BajaBoard’s brand new and patent pending mono-shock suspension system design.

A lighter and smaller alternative to the G4 and G4X, the S2 still offers plenty of power and speed where it counts. With a top speed of 60kph and range up to 60km, it is truly a performance machine in a tight neat package.

There are numerous configurations possible for the S2 depending on your requirements and budget.

Who is the S2 for?

The S2 is a great all-rounder.

For the commuting, besides the fact that the suspension is super stable and able to take on potholes without a sweat, the board’s light kit comes with headlights, brake lights and INDICATORS. Make your movement predictable for others will go a long way to improving the safety of your journey.

For off-road, the S2 still comes out on top amongst the more mainstream “all-terrain” e-skates. We don’t rely just on the pneumatic wheels for give, we have an entire suspension / shock absorption system to take the impact of the trail. And with a maximum power configuration of 6,000W, the S2 can pretty much be tuned up to the power level of a G4X. You’ll be leaving other riders in your dust.

8” or 10” wheels?

We recommend 8” wheels for general commuting use. You will get better range and acceleration from the smaller wheels, and ride height isn’t as important on tarmac type surfaces.

For off-road use, we recommend 10” wheels, with our larger 110A ESC and 6374mm motors. The bigger wheels are better for ground clearance, and the larger ESC/motor combination will ensure that there’s more than enough launch power off-road.

COIL OR AIR? Generally speaking, coil shocks can better handle smaller bumps. So if you want maximum smoothness in your commute or group rides, coil is all you need. Air shocks is generally better at handling heavier duty stuff - jumps, heavy impacts, and heavy riders ( you know who you are). There are a few other factors to take into consideration: 1. Weight - Air shock is quite a bit lighter than coil, so if board weight is important for you, then air it should be. 2. Maintenance - Coil shocks require less maintenance and are more rugged. But because we adapt mountain bike air shocks, if you do need to maintain / fix it, your local bike shop may be able to help. 3. Appearance - The color of the spring coil can provide a major visual impact for your board. The air shock comes in its default OEM color (which isn’t necessarily a negative). 4. Price - Obviously… Finally, you should also know that the S2 can fit most mountain bike shocks, as long as they are 210-220mm eye-to-eye. So you could just as easily get a couple of Fox Float DPS, or even fancier shocks to try on.
